Hydroelectric power plant performance optimization

Hydroelectric power plants are typically equipped with several in parallel arranged turbines, which convert the potential energy of the water into a rotary movement of the shaft and then into electrical energy in generators. This work deals with optimization of the overall performance of hydroelectric power plant finding the distribution of the total flow into individual turbines. Another part of this work is derivation of appropriate models for Francis turbine and asynchronous generator.
