The aim of this bachelor thesis is a design of a measurement and control unit controlling servo-operated valve LUN 6874-8 in dependence on the size of the input signal from the strain-gauge bridge. The work also explains reasons of this specific solution and describes its realization. Besides the construction of this device, the next objective of the theses was testing procedure and design of the communication device providing reliable connection of the DSP micro-controller and PC debugging environment. Device tests and proposals of future improvements are mentioned. Fundamental principles of strain gauge measurement and servo-operated valve are also included.
