Automotive active suspension
Author: Kukura Marián
The base of this bachelor´s thesis is the design of an active suspension controller for cars. This system enables better suspension of vibrations arising by rough ride], which decreases the comfort of passengers and deteriorates the handling performance of a car. For this design was used a simplified quarter model for passive suspension for a car widened about an actuator. As an actuator is used a controlled linear force source (linear motor). The first part of the thesis deals with mathematical description of the model and it´s analysis. In the second part I describe the design of an appropriate controller and create a simulating scheme using the MatLab – Simulink software. In this scheme I compare the behaviour of controlled (active) suspension system and passive suspension system.
