Optimal Tuning of PID Controllers

Objective of this bachelor thesis is to propose a set of procedures that can be utilized for PID controller optimum setup. Procedures are written using the Matlab computer program and optimized by internal Matlab functions. Controllers designed in this way are compared with controllers designed using common frequency methods. Controllers are applied with systems of different dynamics in order to evaluate the quality of their control functionality.
