This work deals with development of electronic and mechanic parts for model of assorting line demonstrating functionality of developed sensors and control units. The electronics consists of servo control unit Servo7QG, controlling servo motors of robotic arm PidiArm, conveyor belt control unit, sensor of color and proximity, and the main board controlling all the units mentioned above via I2C bus. The main board is further more capable of assorting PET bottle lids according to user-defined colors and works as a bridge between communication interface RS232 and I2C bus. User interface consists of character display, buttons located on the main board and also PC application implemented in the .NET environment and programmed in C#.
