Bridge crane operation monitoring

This Bachelor thesis is focused on bridge crane operation monitoring. The monitoring is maintained by a function block designed in the programming environment Step 7 from the Siemens company. The goal of this thesis is to find a suitable transfer method of data stored in PLC Simatic S7 to computer and to implement an user application in MS Excel by using this method. The transfer method has to enable bidirectional data transmission between the programmable logical controller and the computer. The application is designed to visualize and archive the data from PLC. Another part of this thesis is an overview and description of possible transfer methods. The thesis is based on the requierements of the company SIMO-CZ s.r.o.
