Strain Gauge Measurement of Race Car Axles

This bachelor’s thesis is concerned about measuring strain of axles on a student formula using strain gauges. Its goal is to design a data acquisition, realize measurement and analyze measured data. The first chapter contains what is the motivation for this measurement and the following one analyzes nature of measurements done with strain gauges. The third chapter is about designing the data acquisition itself the control of which is explained in chapter 4 as well as evaluation of the collected data. Then follows an experimental part where the application and calibration of strain gauges on axles of the student formula is described. This part is completed with measurements done on the student formula.
