Tracking animal movements from the video recording

Algorithms for object detection and movement tracking are presented in this thesis. Tracked object is an animal model of disease. Animal models used for the research are transmutagen pigs suffering from Huntington’s disease.
Several methods are introduced, implemented and compared. The best fitting ones are then tested in detail and used for batch processing of recorded videos. A graphical user interface was created in MATLAB environment for easy and confortable analysis of available videos. Acquired results are discussed in the end of this thesis.
