Control system for the solar collector

This thesis describes a complex design of control for a prototype of positioning device for a solar collector. Positioning device operates a parabolic mirror in direction of two axes. In the focus of the mirror is placed a tubular colector, which absorbs solar energy and converts it into a medium. This thesis deals with design of a homing algoritm which is based on specific construction of positioning device and with a technical solution of this problem. Also it is solving a hardware realisation of a prototype of positioning and regulation unit, including a design and realisation of positional sensing in horizontal axis. The goal of the design is also a estimation of necessary technical upgrades and supplements of recent realisation of the positioning device.
