Adaptive PID controller design
Author: Jindra Tomáš
The goal of the diploma thesis is to develop adaptive mechanism of PID controller for the second order system with time delay. The adaptive mechanism is designed for batch processes, where the adaptation is not proceeding continuously, but in batches. Adaptive control is divided to two parts. In the first part identifies the changes that have occured in the controlled system. Identification method is based on step response of closed loop. In the second part is an adaptation of the controller design. The emphasis is given on the fulfillment properties of the original system by controller design. These properties are gain and phase margin in the first case, adaptation in the time domain in the second case. It means that the closed-loop step response of the original and the new system is identical.
