Simulation and control design for a new concept of linear combustion engine

The thesis deals with two main tasks - transfer of the thorough control system to a new platform and development of a new free-piston engine mechanical conception simulation model. Within the frame of the first task the whole linear comubstion engine control system was modified and transfered to the dSpace MicroAutoBox platform. Then functionality of the control system was tested. Within the frame of the second task mathematical and simulation model of a new free-piston engine mechanical conception was developed and prerequisites enabling enhancement of motor parameters were established. The simulation model was adjusted for implementation in dSpace ControlDesk tool to enable easy modification of motor subsystem parameters.
