Modelling of dielectrophoresis for feedback control

This work deals with simulation of behaviour of microscopic particles subjected to dielectrophoretic forces. The goal is to create a simulation which will help to design and test a feedback control algorithm.
In this work a hybrid approach to simulation is taken which consists of two parts: preprocessing and simulation. Preprocessing is done in Comsol Multiphysics. The data from preprocessing is then used for the simulation which is done in Matlab. Preprocessing helps to speed up the simulation by avoiding unnecessary repetition of the same calculations. The simulation is then compared with numerical and analytical solutions as well as laborarotary experiments.
